What is Wing Chun Kung Fu?

What is Wing Chun Kung Fu?

Wing Chun Kung Fu is one of the most practical styles of Chinese Martial arts to exist. It is an ingenious system that teaches you how to overcome a bigger, stronger opponent using skill, technique and sensitivity. Its principles are based on directness and simplicity and it teaches you how to use your opponent's strength against himself.

Why study Wild Goose Qigong?

I've asked my students to write a little about how they came to Wild Goose Qigong and how it has helped them.

'Having recently retired I thought I should try and address some of the effects of being desk bound for many years. I looked into a variety of exercise classes but found them unsuitable for various reasons. I then came across Wild Goose Qigong and not knowing anything about it, I rang Natasha to ask if it would be suitable for somebody who could not get up from the floor with ease, had no flexibility or stamina and had an arthritic hip.

I am pleased to say 4 months on I can stand for longer periods and only need to sit for a couple of minutes, three times within an hour, rather then every ten minutes or so. My balance is improving and some flexibility is returning, I also find it easier to get up from sitting in an armchair.

Although I still have a way to go, and some exercises I find unable to do to the full extent until I have a hip replacement, I am pleased with the progress I have made and only wish more people were aware of this exercise, as it ranges from the gentle to the more advance movements for those who are able bodied'.
